In a PSA plant e.g. for hydrogen purification, oxygen generator or nitrogen generation you take the advantage of the adsorption process. Adsorption is a process that occurs when a molecule or atom accumulates on the surface of a solid or, more rarely, a liquid (both: adsorbent).
