PSA High-efficient Biogas
Upgrading Plants

Mahler AGS biogas upgrading plants recover high-purity biomethane from raw biogas using proven PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) technology. The result: sustainable biomethane, ready for direct injection into the natural gas grid or for use as renewable fuel.

TURNING RAW BIOGAS INTO CLEAN BIOMETHANE

PSA Technology for Sustainable Energy

In PSA-based biogas upgrading, raw biogas is purified by separating carbon dioxide and other components from methane. The PSA process delivers high-purity biomethane with excellent efficiency and reliability. Mahler AGS plants are designed for fully automatic, unattended operation and allow easy adjustment of product flow according to demand.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about our biogas upgrading plants

What feedstocks can BIOSWING units process?

BIOSWING units efficiently upgrade biogas or landfill gas to biomethane using PSA technology with carbon molecular sieves.

What capacities, purity, and recovery rates do BIOSWING plants offer?

BIOSWING plants offer operating capacities from approximately 500 to 5,000 Nm³/h and deliver methane recovery rates of up to 98%, with product purities exceeding 96% CH₄. Standard outlet pressures typically range from 4 to 7 bar (abs), with higher pressures available upon request.

How does BIOSWING adapt to fluctuating biogas quality?

BIOSWING automatically adjusts its operation based on the composition of the incoming biogas, ensuring stable biomethane purity and consistent performance.
